5·3 months agoFuck streaming. All I need is my local library and an .mp3 player with tactile controls.
I do not understand how people are OK with being reliant on some other service to listen to their music, and how they’re OK with having to deal with a touchscreen if they want to skip tracks or otherwise navigate the library. Not to mention that they don’t even have full control over their playlists, or that songs can disappear…
Conversely, with a dedicated player and knowledge of your own library, you can skip between albums with your eyes closed, and you never have to worry about losing a playlist or song.
This was the logical and inevitable consequence of conservative attacks on female autonomy. And most people either don’t care, or actively support it.
Absolutely no one could have seen this coming. There was no one saying that this would happen. Absolutely no one.

15·4 months agoIt’s definitely opportunistic backpedalling, but it’s a good sign of sorts: We’ve proven that, if we can punish them financially, they’ll do the right thing. For the wrong reasons, obviously, but in these times, I’ll take what we can get.
But can I remotely control it with my phone? You know, because when I’m at work, I might want to remotely open the door.
