Interstingly, the council web page does not give any party affiliation of any of the council members.
But most of them are lawyers or business majors. So dumb is definitely confirmed.
Let me put it this way. One of them, Paxson, was in a run off last election. Both she and her run off opponent sent out mailers of themselves standing next to Ted Cruz.
There is a “gang of 5” that are hardcore Maga. They basically control the council as a bloc. Though I would classify a few of the others as more old school republicans.

They are really aiming at making CC uninhabitable. Where do they think the water will come from in a few years? From the tap, as always? Will they pray for and expect a miracle, STAT! ?
IIRC, they are already way too late, so they should have started building that plant at least a year or two ago. What are they waiting for?
Meanwhile this is happening. Data centers are water hogs. Desalination is very costly by the way, and will greatly raise the price of water. PS AI data centers run hotter, and need more cooling, than others. Newer ones are also much bigger.
