My guess… That’s about 80-90 cals per bite, and it’s a high glycemic index treat. 1-2 might be good pre lifting session, or 2-3 post workout combined with another carb and protein source. But definitely more on the treat side than healthy food side. It looks delicious though!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a movie you can watch often and it never gets old?
1·5 months agoNatural Born Killers. I think it’s the whole “killer duo” and cultural obsessions that linked them together for me.
But it’s been a while since I watched NBK, too, so maybe I’ll have to do these two back to back!

1·5 months agoI have not, but I’ll check it out some time. The trailer makes me think of NBK.

There’s something about that close-to-home dystopian outlook that calms me. Now go away, I’m batin’!
Chill out. Going into attack mode doesn’t make your assertion carry more weight.

Stealing from my comment in a different thread:
I’m still upset with Buttigieg for his pre-Super-Tuesday drop out. He joined the establishment to rally against Sanders. In doing so, he became part of what’s wrong with the party.
While I don’t think poorly of him as a person per se, he is also just another politician.
In contrast, I see folks like Sanders and AOC as real agents of change.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•The worst part of getting old is that you get less and less "first experiences" and are always comparing current with previous ones
3·5 months agoHow, even as seasoned veterans of experience, can we preserve a sense of wonder throughout our lives?
. . . truly contemplating the world — truly attending to and feeling wonder for it — can help dissolve the separations we artificially impose upon life.
Your post reminded me this short article, on maintaining wonder and awe through awareness. Its less about the comparison, and more about the appreciation.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your seasonal sinus pressure alleviation tips
2·7 months agoDon’t miss a day once you start taking it. It’s not an instant relief med, but has to build in your system for about 24 hours. In my experience, for example, missing Tuesday meant a headache on Wednesday.
Zyrtec and Allegra, I believe, provide same day relief. But I still prefer Claritin myself, for various reasons.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•WTF is a rural town in the USA?
6·7 months agoTo my knowledge, US states may use different terms for municipalities, collections of homesteads, etc. as they wish because of the 10th amendment in the US Constitution, i.e. it’s not explicitly given to the fed government to prescribe the hierarchy. But I’m no expert on this subject, so I could be mistaken.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which in your opinion is better, Whataburger or Wendy's?
2·1 year agoI had the opportunity to have both whattaburger and in n out the same week during a trip to Arizona.
Whattaburger is so whunderwhelming. My memory of it is that it’s like a big ass frozen patty on a mediocre bun.
In n out had flavor combos popping in my mouth.
It’s a no brainer, to me. My partner used to die on the whattaburger hill, but changed her tune after that trip.

I’m not an expert, so take this as far as you’d like — reading has real benefits to our brains such as improving vocabulary, improving critical thinking skills, and improving focus. I don’t think short form videos give us the same brain benefits.
Here’s an article from Piedmont health on the benefits of reading. I haven’t seen such an article for short form videos, but am open to it if there is one.
