Use something else for 2fa not email. I used to use keepass for 2fa on my laptop and phone, but now I’m using ente auth. It’s convenient because I can login ente auth anywhere and get a code but the only thing is you’ll need to remember 2 passwords which is worth it imo.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that Bitwarden will require you to enter verification codes sent to your email before letting you log in, starting February 2025 (Edit: This is for those who aren't currently using 2FA)
2·1 year agoJust use something like ente auth, then you can just login online anytime and get your 2fa codes.

2·2 years agoI have a cheap no brand of this and while the camera quality is not as good as a phone, it’s pretty convenient and faster for bulk scanning.

Technology@lemmy.world•FOSS scanner app surpasses Microsoft for usabilityEnglish
3·2 years agoIf you’re talking about OSS scanner documents, you can add pages anytime.
It’s a media center, you can play your local files or you can use add-ons like the official jellyfin addon and connect to any jellyfin server.
If you’re comparing the official jellyfin client apps to kodi, then kodi looks much nicer with more features but requires better hardware. It should work on on your Mac fine but depending on what android tv specs you have it may be a bit slower than the jellyfin client.
Kodi doesn’t have a server feature like plex does where you can serve media to other devices. A more direct alternative would be jellyfin, which even works well with kodi as the media player.
If you really don’t like it, there’s a bunch of tutorials online to uninstall it without needing Microsoft’s approval. I’ve removed it a long time ago without any issues.
Been waiting for this. The tab group extension didn’t work well for me.

1·2 years agoThey allow it now? Last I checked even self hosted bitwarden needs a license for premium features. You could always use vaultwarden instead if you’re gonna self host.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Are there universal/standardized watch bands for non-smart digital/analog watches?
62·2 years agoYeah, find an online store accessible to you such as Amazon and measure the width of your old band. You can then search 18mm watch band for example and they should have a bunch of choices. I usually get third party ones because they work just as well as original bands.
Sometimes watches like casio have special connectors but even then you can find replicas that work just as well.
Also just because the watch band says it’s for a smartwatch doesn’t mean it won’t work with a normal watch. Look closely at the photos/measurements and sometimes it’s just a normal strap you can use on any watch.

What do you do to access jellyfin wherever?
