This needs to be understood, especially in the throes of a capitalist hellscape - currency isn’t the only source of wealth. Emotional fulfilment is a far more valuable form of wealth than money.

The UK separates like this, but residential are dotted with small stores, and industrial areas are strictly business warehouses and factories and such. Large stores are near the commercial/town centres and occasionally by the industrial.

38·4 days agoWell I’m disappointed. It could’ve been a family event where you pay $5 and your kid pull the trigger of the rifle that shoots another MAGA influencer in the neck. Pay $15 for a photo of the moment the bullet hits

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Would you eat food items that has its packaging damaged? If no, what do you do with it? Attempt return/refund or just discard?
3·6 days agoAs long as the contents aren’t damaged, countable contents aren’t missing any, and bagged contents are airsealed, I’ll keep it. If it’s potato chips, I’ll eat them immediately if not stale. If, like one time, it’s a rigid tub of icecream, and the icecream has a groove by the hole consistent with melting and pouring out, and black dirt particles inside, I’ll return it. Look, shopping can be stressful and I’ve missed some ridiculous things

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Steam Replay is live and notes only 14% "of playtime spent by all Steam users" was for 2025 releases
1·6 days agoAs long as the ones I’m interested in don’t get scrubbed by an authority I’ll get to acquiring it later. But I think 14% is still quite high, considering the influence of long-life releases like Sims 4 and GTA V keeping some players ‘loyal’ to one game with a massive offering, and there are several decades of enjoyable games out there, more than any one person can experience.
Sorry you got triggered. It’s possible they’re just hella proud of being good at using their language, but I agree, it’s completely unnecessary to correct a spelling if the message is still clear.

3·8 days agoWell said on the PM’s part, I think the same. Here in England, after the Palestinian militia indiscriminately assaulted Israeli folk on Oct 7th, people were radicalised against those who share the faith of the Palestinians.
Britain is known for having a high level of Islamophobic folk as it is. Anyone known to be Muslim (convenience store owners come to mind) who tried to show solidarity for the Palestinians murdered were assaulted, store windows smashed, and companies warned employees not to show support in any way. A conflict happening thousands of miles away resulted in violence towards those who showed sympathy for Palestine and the suppression of such is enforced by state law still.

61·8 days agoThe Israelis responsible for massacring Palestinians are not the same as all Jewish folk… They may share a God but that is all. You cannot blame an entire demographic for an extremist group’s actions, that starts as bigotry and becomes fascism.

345·9 days agoYes that’s tragic, and this wouldn’t have happened if the Israeli government hadn’t pissed off everyone including antisemitic homicidal folk who can’t tell the difference between a Jew and a Zionist Israeli. The evil folk in power of Israel and the IDF played a part in the murders of these people.
The memorial is beautiful.
I just don’t understand how an image search for anything gives you maybe 20 results, 17 of which are irrelevant. You used to get a hundred relevant images for literally anything.
They created that amp; service that stopped you from accessing websites in one tap; the arguably first commercial AI service, image object recognition, is garbage; it doesn’t reverse search people anymore; AI overview shows up on 19/20 searches.Could probably get a better experience using Google if you use a device only capable of 2G, GPRS or TLS 1.1.
Unfortunately no, this image comes courtesy of the dude third from the right’s company, DeepMind - Gemini is DeepMind’s product.

Oh yeah, I think maybe a bunch of smaller UPS is better than one massive one - can’t always power everything from one point aha
Anker have up to 3.8kWh stations, goals. This or Anker’s equivalent of the Tesla Powerwall, wall-mounted energy storage.
