Actually yeah, the websites are usually up to date for big companies and government agencies. If I can’t find something on the website, it’s a pain to contact someone though, and when I finally get through the bots, I have to listen to the human customer service agent remind me to check the website. :(

3·20 days agoWrite a strongly worded letter, and then tell your nonspeaking autistic manservant that you want to become a superhero. You can pretend to be a cowardly dandy and your assistant can pretend to be deaf with an intellectual disability.
Holy shit! That’s not a new Czech thing, that is what every single business in the Untied States has. The pharmacy, the post office, the school, the corner store, the furnature store, the mall, the phone store, the store where they sell human souls, the taxi service, the bank. Everything has this robot voice. Welcome to hell.

4·1 month agoAI psychosis is so easy to slip into, even if someone knows it’s happening. In order to use AI safely, use a search AI like DuckDuckGo/Ecosia/Gemini and only ask it questions pertaining to searches, don’t ask followup questions.
It’s not just that the AI convinces users that it’s in a relationship with them. The AI writes like a human, but it also will hallicinate and get things wrong. The user has the experience of arguing with a ‘person’ who keeps insisting on an imagined reality. That is crazy-making behavior when humans do it, so it’s understandable that it’s crazy-making when a search engine does it.

Recently saw a kid with a tablet glued to their pram so they couldn’t look away. Without the ability to study the faces of adults in real time, this child may develop an intellectual disability.
