Can 100% recommend to visit the Dolomites!
The peaks you see are called Seceda. The entire area starting from the right side of them in the picture is called Alpe di Siusi (Italian) / Seiser Alm (German), and is the largest high-elevation Alpine meadow in Europe. I’ve been there recently and can confirm the wheelchair accessibility.
But without Play Protect (unless you sideload gApps).
Yes, I know, but how do you know that it doesn’t accidentally generate a face that’s identical to an existing person’s face? After all, it’s trained on images of humans.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you are a dissident and your government is threatening you and your family/friends and demands a public apology and to publicly recant/renounce your beliefs, would you do it? Why or Why Not?

How can we be sure that that person actually does not exist?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I'll start: to be invisible.
1·2 months agoBeing able to manipulate time in any way I like: make time go faster, slower, backwards and stopping time. Even time travel, though that’s arguably a different superpower, but IMO it still falls under manipulating time.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is your least favourite song by your favourite band/artist?
31·2 months agoWait, is this actually the name of a song, or a genuine question?
EDIT: Nevermind, just looked at your profile.

14·3 months agoThe first lockdown here in Denmark hit in March 2020. At the time, I was in my last year of high school and had to study from home, and due to being at higher risk of getting seriously ill, I had to stay home and attend via video call while my class mates returned to school a month or so later. That was tough.
Fast forward half a year later, I had started university where my first semester was partly on-site and partly remote. That was fine since I’d already gotten used to studying from home. The next semester though (Q1 and Q2 of 2021) was 100% online, and I had never felt so demotivated in my life. I could miss lectures at 2 PM because I couldn’t get out of bed. It was that bad.
But, I managed to push through and completed my Bachelor’s degree in software development in the summer of 2023. Fast forward 2 years, today, I have been in a large private IT company working with IT operations (system administration, Linux servers, etc.) and now I’m back at (another) university working with Linux servers and pretty happy with it.
Overall I think I managed to do pretty well during the whole thing, but the pandemic definitely took its toll on my mental health. It did teach me one thing though, to really appreciate being able to be outside, being able to move freely, and being able to spend time with other people.

If I didn’t pay extra for a static IP, I would have CGNAT and no IPv6.
That’ll only work if OP isn’t behind CGNAT though.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Mastodon - I am getting unwanted posts to my timeline. Why?
7·3 months agoNot really without knowing which instance you’re talking about, but one guess is that you might be following a hashtag that has become more actively used.

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•Miranda warnings are bad for society.English
3·5 months agoMight be that someone is innocent, and thus didn’t read the 5th-8th amendments before going out and doing some dumb and illegal shit (read: they didn’t).
I would not do that. The whole idea behind Tor Browser is to make users look similar. By using a custom DNS provider you stand out from the crowd, thus making yourself more unique/identifiable. A website may not be able to see who you are, but it’s gonna have a way easier time seeing that you’re the same person visiting as the person who was there yesterday.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•set up local DNS using Pi-hole + nginx + audiobookshelfEnglish
1·6 months agoIn the compose file for Audiobookshelf, you need to add the service itself to the network you defined at the bottom. Something like:
services: audiobookshelf: ... networks: - default - nginx(The
defaultnetwork is to keep it in the network that is created ondocker compose up).
