Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•does it really work to wear brand new leggings wet for the first time so they mold better to your figure and last longer?
8·1 month agoI still have a few from more than 10 years ago
no creases whatsoever? no loose waist?
don’t wear the same pair consecutively
how many leggings do you own? because I wear them most days, like 5 to 6 days a week.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•how do I decide what tights size I need if I'm tall and skinny?
1·1 year agowould you ask your wife what brands she uses?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•how do I avoid leggings creasing below the knees?
1·2 years agoleggings are mostly 77% polyester and 23% spandex but there’s a mesh segment behind the knees, mesh is 93% polyester and 7% spandex.
I don’t know if you’re suggesting I cut the legging and make it thinner right below the knees, but this is a structurally very complicated area, as it combines mesh and regular fabric.
Have you ever sewn workout synthetic fabrics? Are you happy with the result?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Does hand washing your undies prevent it from losing its shape and elasticity?
2·2 years agoSwitch to merino for active wear and cotton daily to avoid infections.
does your partner hand wash her merino thongs? Merino is expensive and my experience with thin merino garments is they tend to break easily. Doesn’t merino itch? Does she have to wash the piece more often than other undies?
I wonder how a full cotton thong would improve my health because so far I haven’t had any trouble with my synthetic ones with a cotton gusset. Or does your partner mean full cotton thongs are better than polyester ones with a cotton gusset? Why?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Are thongs less prone to whale tailing than strings?
1·2 years agoThere don’t seem to be many brands that market men thongs and strings. Do you find good quality and durable undies for you?
the synthetic leggings I’ve been wearing for 2 years are now an inch wider on my waist and 2 inches longer. I’ve been doing stretches, running, cardio, yoga… If I put the old ones on, my butt looks like a peach one, with the crease up to half of my buttocks. If I wear a brand new one, same brand and model, no crease, my butt is a ball.
The old ones will retain their consistency and form, but I have to slightly adjust them after squatting. Now imagine a leg, the upper leg sits normal but the lower leg is bend outwards: that’s what creases look like on the old legging.
My weight hasn’t changed, hips and waist are equal. Is this a normal level of stretching?
I also don’t know if my butt looks silly with that crease on it or if I should stop wearing them (unwanted attention) but I can really stretch a lot and they’re easier to wear than the brand new ones, which are at this point very tight.
Do you put on your leggings like sheer tights?
