There’s this workaround that works well : https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/install-windows-11-without-microsoft-account
It’s definitely not for lambda users and a real pity that we have to resort to this, but it does the job (for now).

Technology@lemmy.world•OpenAI Is ‘Exploring’ How to Responsibly Generate AI PornEnglish
871·2 years agoSo the only thing the article says is :
The Model Spec document says NSFW content “may include erotica, extreme gore, slurs, and unsolicited profanity.” It is unclear if OpenAI’s explorations of how to responsibly make NSFW content envisage loosening its usage policy only slightly, for example to permit generation of erotic text, or more broadly to allow descriptions or depictions of violence.
… and somehow Wired turned it into “OpenAI wants to generate porn”.
This is just pure clickbait.

1·2 years agoIf you block the ad, the budget is assigned to another person and both FB and the advertiser benefit from you blocking it.
The best way to harm the ad is actually to interact with it (click the ad, or like and unlike it) so that FB registers your “interest” and keeps showing it to you rather than somebody else that could actually be influenced by it. Bonus : you’ll get other similar ads that you can also manipulate the same way.

43·3 years agoAlso a male USB 2 plug fits perfectly into a RJ45 slot :-/ In my days of tech support, I’ve seen multiple people plugging their USB printer cable into the network slot of their computer and it’s a perfect fit so they were always convinced they didn’t do anything wrong… That’s clearly a design flaw while all other connectors have distinct sizes.
