I downloaded Flicky:

• Good: More usable on fire TV compared to F-Droid Classic

• bad: Flicky does not have the “installed” list to keep track of downloaded apps

And checking the settings i discovered security issues:

• TLS verification was OFF by default
• several third party repositories are enabled by default which are outside the F-Droid community
