I also like my moka pot but usually I want drip equivalent, takes longer to drink otherwise I have too much.
But I don’t want to.
I do enjoy the Espro I have, very tight seal and fine filter. But my daily driver is cheaper, I just don’t pour out the last bit and works fine.

12·3 days agoI always thought he got black because he was a little bit dark side being Vader’s kid, just simple visual theme thing.
One of us (French press people).
I’m not a coffee fanatic, it’s just the simplest (read: laziest) way to make decent coffee without replacement filters.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•A long time ago webcomics used to be one of my favorite things online, now online comics (not comic books) on average are one of my most regular causes for cringing.English
36·10 days ago20 years ago had a daily list of comics to check, now I just load xkcd once or twice a year to catch up and that’s it.
Basically scrapes employer sites and has way better search tools. You apply through the employer not through a middleware site. At least for IT work it was pretty effective and has way better search and filter options.
But also yes to the original sentiment.

Coffee@lemmy.world•What decaf coffee tastes best?English
3·21 days agoSeconding the advice to just check local roasters.
If you’re looking for cheaper it’ll be challenging. Wegmans carries a couple whole bean decaf varieties (espresso and something medium roast). Trader Joe’s always seems to have whole bean French roast. And there’s some bulk ones on Amazon probably worth a shot - used to get SF Bay decaf there.

3·23 days agoHonestly the kernel is smart enough to only use it if you need it most of the time from what I can remember from my admin days, no idea why op cares.

32·23 days agoMaybe stop giving a shit what I do with my partions? 🤷 Mine is definitely to try and make hibernate work on a shitty old laptop that’ll drain the battery if I let it sleep and unplug it.

Jank old laptop with an mx150 discrete and Intel cpu/GPU running fine on Kubuntu but haven’t tried to game or do anything demanding with it. Running better than win11 tho.

2·1 month agoProbably good, not my thing since it requires filters. Very compact tho so yeah.

19·1 month agoEspresso is hard to do at an office but a French press and hand grinder are very easy to keep in a drawer at your desk. And if you’re desperate you can use the drop brewer to get your hot water.
I read what I could but was not convinced it’s enough of a defined issue to change up for me, especially with zero cardiovascular issues. Open to future changes if the science gets more refined.
