I don’t know where you’re from, but in the UK it’s pretty common to pay with Google Pay or Apple Pay. Even had the advantage of allowing you to pay a higher amount than you could with a contactless card.
What about the people onboard?
A lot of people are buying these machines with 8GB or shelling out for the upgrade. Win/win for Apple unfortunately.

Yes you have to decide if the cost of the convenience is worth the lock in and price of Apple products. At the end of the day you still have a choice.
