I’m hearing mixed things. Do you have a Kindle? It might not show up unless you’ve set one up. Maybe that’s it?

lol this is a GREAT idea!

Make sure you’re buying the ebook, not the paperback! Folks are saying the ebook is free

Kinda think “The #2 Amazon result is an erotic novel where she’s a bat monster” is probably not a good look

Bitwarden FTW

That’s a fair point, and in a comment above I asked if there’s any way to make this trend without purchasing it. Like, maybe there’s a way to do it by search volume, or adding it to our carts? I genuinely don’t know enough about the Amazon platform to know, but maybe someone here does!

Key questions:
Is there any way to get the book trending without buying it? It’s only $1, so if we all have to buy it that’s not so bad, but would love to find another way if possible.
If we want it to trend on the 30th, do we take action that day? Or do we need to start earlier? Like the day before?
Anyone here know how Amazon works?
I’ve used this for 10+ years. It’s incredibly versatile, stable, and effective. I used it this week to download some TV episodes from a (bootleg) streaming site. It’s a great extension.

Thank you for this! Definitely cool to get a better UI for this.
However, I’ll say that the biggest pain point w/r/t academic papers isn’t Arxiv’s interface. It’s the papers themselves. PDFs are SO clunky, especially for those of us who enjoy reading on an eink screen. IMHO, the biggest unlock will be when someone figures out a way to easily convert academic PDFs to .epub while preserving the flow of the document.
Still, in the meantime, I’m very glad to have this new project. Thanks again for building! Adding it to my bookmarks
Unfortunately there is only one way to get older generations onto a new app: make it the only place where they can see pictures of their grandkids
(I’m serious tho. When you have kids you can get their grandparents to install ANYTHING if you tell them it has pics of the new baby.)

Thank you!!!

Thank you! I’m still figuring out my goals here… Could I ask for your recommendation, given the following?
Primary goal: Access my music library from any of my devices (Android, MacOS, Linux), wherever I am in the world, hopefully without paying anyone (or at least not paying a LOT).
Secondary goal (Not sure if I want to do this yet): Let a group of about 12 friends access my library

These responses are SO helpful and I’m genuinely learning so much here. Thank you everyone!

Yes, the bottleneck isn’t software, it’s hardware. We need phones with unlocked bootloaders

Same. Is there any advantage to DNSNet over TrackerControl?

It’s really funny to see everyone here fish for reasons this can’t work

Actually, if you read either of the links provided above, you’ll see that that’s exactly what happens
INCREDIBLE!!!
