I’m not religious any more at all, but I thought of god as a permeating energy. Energy can become matter and light. Someone smarter than me can explain why that doesn’t make any sense, but that’s what my brain had come up with when I was wrestling with it.

I’m just responding to your “huh what am I apologizing for” part. They’re not talking about apologizing, they were talking about the subject apologetics or the study of the Bible (which includes the study of translations).
Just fyi, scholarly Bible interpretation is called “apologetics”.
Will someone please explain all the corn posts. I have a lot of political filters and I am fully confused on this one.
