Get a home sleep study. Insurance covers a CPAP with Dr prescription. But mental hurdle but man waking up fresh is worth it

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Trying to build viable third parties by voting for them in presidential elections is like trying to build a third door in your house by repeatedly walking into the wall where you want the door to be.
3025·1 year agoThis is the same tone set by the people who whined that we were refusing to vote for Biden and oh look now Biden isn’t in the race anymore because we refused to accept him.
Keep accepting the one candidate that they spoon in front of us without asking if we actually want that one
I mean, I did. Highly recommend. Spoiler alert almost all the non-USA people places a multinational company would offer to post you don’t have guns

35·2 years agoTo a point. If you are the only rider, your risk of dying is very high, because no one around is expecting it. Sometimes the right choice is to keep driving until the infrastructure finally makes things safe.

True fact, in the early days of Linux I installed it and was like awesome! I am staring at a terminal prompt with color ls output and thinking man this is so cool! That irrational love of computers lead to a career but also a lot of inability to socialize.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What was the highest mountain you ever climbed and how was the experience?
1·2 years agoPeople talking about Fuji but not whether they hiked at night or day. Hiked 10pm roughly to try and summit just before dawn. So amazingly epic. By about 90 percent up just tons of shooting stars and the Milky Way so vivid. Clear night in early autumn near the end of the season.

18·2 years agoA monthly fee seems idiotic but yes please do it! Please!
That said I think a $5 signup fee on Mastodon or Lemmy that is not refunded if you get banned would seriously help stop bots. They only make pennies per bot and if you make their cost even minimally painful the economics fall apart.

Frankly anyone telling you they can measure the value of a line of code without any background knowledge is selling BS.
But I welcome this new BS system as the previous system of managers not so secretly counting total commits and lines added was comically stupid.
