The overall point is that doing (what used to be) the bare minimum is no longer even close to enough. To be considered adequate, you need super ironclad defense, because even low skilled attackers have access to very powerful weapons.
Does it have to be an SBC? I’ve had great success with a second hand Lenovo Thinkpad

6·2 months agoAlso, I found the Jellyfin default client(s) to be pretty mediocre. But they have an excellent Jellyfin for Kodi plugin.
Now, Kodi has had 2 decades of development and has just about everything you could ever want from a client (way better than Plex IMO).

Nobody’s going to be able to make vibe coded PRs if just cloning your repo costs them 100% of their usage quota.

2·2 months agoYep. Assuming you’re in the US, searching eBay for “Dell optiplex” is the way to go.
Those are mostly used by companies that upgrade their entire fleet in one go so they sell the old ones for cheap in great condition.
