is IRC still a thing? was huge 20 years ago, what happened to it

I mean weird argument “if I don’t do it, someone else will do it but worse”. The goal is clearly to prevent the practice globally, so I don’t think it b works here

in a twisted way this was a progressive law at some point. in some other extremely religious countries women aren’t allowed to divorce at all and here it was like a compromise off getting a timeout.

what county are they banned like that in?
