Often it is the hardware. One should check what is supported, the chipsets etc… Or just get Framework (or maybe a mainstream Dell). It’s a pity they only do laptops…

Mmmm… Spaghetti with cream and sugar, sprinkled with cottage chasse… My childhood delicacy!

I setup music with Clementine, and output analog via the jack. Surely there must be better way… But it was easy & I can choose songs to play from cellphone.
It’s even easier with Brew: have terminal window open, type brew install librewolf & if MacOS complains, xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/LibreWolf.app (for example to get a nice bland browser without corporate spyware). Every now and then, brew upgrade librewolf.
I had a friend trauma & sleep psychology profesor visiting; she said improvement of school performance with better scheduling was proven in few real life (cross-sectional?) studies.

FreeTube on desktop, NewPipe on droid!

But does it build?!

Meh, I found VR a gimmic…
It was pita to setup, gave me headaches (from wearing the kit), and “the best” game (Half Life Alyx) had complicated dynamics… so I already forgot what I was supposed to do (after Windows Updates, VR updates, approx. 2 reboots needed… Not to mention Windows updates fkd up my Linux multiboot few times…)

LLMs could be useful for translation between programming languages. I asked it to recently for server code given a client code in a different language and the LLM generated code was spot on!

I think it’s all noise to distract from issues US should solve on its own.
It’s a pity that the dont improve touch experience. Especially floating touch keyboard situation - there is none (working well).
My only complain in (default PopOs/Gnome’s?) Dolphin file explorer there is no “space” to right click in the “current” directory… Otherwise IMHO it’s no worse than Windows!

Lack of schedule coordination is an American thing. Or building suburban train lines which scheduling rarely beats the car.

There could be dedicated separated bus lanes - I saw one in my world travels but never in USA. IMHO it is a better solution for short distance (i.e non-competing with plane) than inflexible heavy metro transit infra…
Note that if you are Uber user (idk about driver) their website is good enough; for me it works in Firefox mobile (in “Desktop” mode only). Lyft is app only…
wX (on Fdroid) is a bit geekier alternative. It has a textual weather description, links to AFD (Forecast Discussion by a human meteorologist), and fantastic radar features.
I (a customer) was in a deep chitchat with a bike mechanic about some other outdoor hobby in a big US outdoor gear chain. For like 30min :-) Then I chatted about learning foreign languages (!) with the casheer.
I definitely found the experience memorable and have great association with the store’s brand!!!

Afaik the mortgage market (setting mortgage payments, type of mortgage: fixed vs floating) is one of the more efficient markets. So choosing rent/own might not be such a big dilema.
Current state (continuous rise of home prices) is, however, concerning. It used to be that USA’s flexibility to move (and refi) was its great advantage (in labor market).

Yeah! How about allowing uninstallation of Chrome from Android?!
I have debloated Win 11 on a Surface pro. Works OK but I much prefer MacOS (on M1, without Apple account) or PopOS. Much more zen.
Dont give them ideas!
