  • Not me, but I witnessed it. ~7th grade 2 boys were playing a game between the rows of desks where they interlock the fingers of one of each of their hands. Then, they smack the back of their interlocked hands with their free hand until one of them quits and let’s go. The teacher was walking up and down the rows… apparently okay with this. I’m not sure of the exact sequence of events, but somehow, the planets aligned. One of them quit while the other was mid swing and he slapped the teacher’s ass. Hard. Hard enough that it made a loud clap. The look on that kid’s face… blushing red and turning pale at the same time.

  • I think they completely fucked up by going after the rioters. In my opinion, every one of them has an ironclad defense. Imagine for a second that, instead of living in a fox News fantasy world where up is down and the sky is orange, they just lived under a rock for 4 years and lean right:

The president they voted for told them the election was stolen. They’re just pions. He has access to intel that they do not. Who are they to question his claim? He’s the fuckin president! The left must be stealing the election!

In the fantasy where that is true, storming the capitol kind of is the correct move. They cut off the wrong end of the snake.

  • You’re getting a lot of pushback here, and I’m not sure if you truly don’t understand why or if you are trolling/being disingenuous on purpose. Webster’s definition of faith:

    1

a : allegiance to duty or a person : loyalty

“lost faith in the company’s president”

    b(1) : fidelity to one’s promises

    b(2) : sincerity of intentions

    “acted in good faith”

    2

a(1) : belief and trust in and loyalty to God

a(2) : belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion

b(1) : firm belief in something for which there is no proof

“clinging to the faith that her missing son would one day return”

    b(2) : complete trust

    3

something that is believed especially with strong conviction especially : a system of religious beliefs

    “the Protestant faith”

None of these definitions of faith fit science. Scientific theory is not faith in the slightest. Scientific theories cannot exist without evidence and observation. Faith has no such requirement.

  • He’s flailing so hard he is speed running through all of his tried and true distraction techniques. It’s like watching Jordan Peterson on the Surrounded thing on YouTube. He’s a one-trick pony, and it becomes obvious when you do it that fast.

I mean … even MAGA caught on. Now, are they going to see the pattern, or are they going to go back to the mental gymnastics and become furious about a book in a school library in a state they don’t live in? Unfortunately, we could safely wager our life savings on which option they will choose.
