  • i have to admit i’m finding it quite frustrating how many classic KDE ui things are being sacrificed for homogeneity recently - single click to open, mouse over program menu category to switch, now this

double click by default in particular was abandoning an iconic and way more intuitive way to interact with the desktop to be more like what windows and mac users are used to, which is a shame

edit: jumped the gun here, doesn’t look like it’s the new default. rest of my whining applies tho

You are the center of your universe, the only force that can ever affect you. Therefore, anything that doesn’t work out for you is all. Your. Fault.

You are responsible for all of your successes, and the lack thereof. And that is the essential point that failure, your ever-faithful friend, wants to make: that your failure could not exist without you – without your stupidity, without your lies, without your mistakes, your uselessness, your lack of faith, your ineptitude, your unjustifiable confidence in your alleged abilities, you stupid loser – failure is your only friend. Failure is your only lover. Failure is your only hope.

So befriend it. Make love to it. And believe in it with all your might. Because failure is all there is for you.

  • I got a PS Vita a while back and it’s a fun device, especially set up for homebrew, but it’s super uncomfortable to use for more than a few minutes at a time

Little inputs all over it and nothing to hold on to, I had to get a controller shaped thing to clip it into just to stop my hands cramping up, the bigger devices like the steam deck are a lot more comfortable in comparison

  • Hey, glad you want to be a considerate, conscientious vegan! You won’t upset anyone as long as you follow these simple rules:

    1. Never admit that you are vegan
    2. Never talk about veganism
    3. When people are talking about meat, eagerly participate
    4. Do not eat visibly vegan food in public
    5. If offered meat or cheese, eat it without protest
    6. Do not cook vegan food if serving others
    7. When you see a cow, remark out loud how you want to eat it

That’s about all you need to know to be one of the Good Vegans. Hope this helps!
