Privacy@lemmy.ml•new permissions for simple voice recorder app. they're coming!
1·2 years agoI meant droidrec. Same settings for me but keeps crashing when hitting record. Audio recorder from f droid (white background with black microphone logo) seems to be working for me though.

1·2 years agoI just tried that app and every time I try to record from mic only the app just closes when hitting the record button and it creates a 0 byte file. Does this actually work for anyone else?

9·2 years agoDoes anyone know of a FOSS file explorer for Android that supports network locations? Fossify file manager would be perfect but doesn’t have support for network locations.
Thank you for further explaining your viewpoint. I can appreciate that :)
That’s quite the judgement without ANY reasoning or explanation. I guess we can agree to disagree on that. I think her approach of looking at things makes perfect sense and has helped several people in know. Btw. she is not “just somebody who writes books” she was trained in Clinical Psychology at Cornell University and the New School for Social Research and studied at the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis. Anyways, to each their own, I’ll stick with it, she is a wonderful resource.
Dr. Nicole LePera has books, an online membership but also an Instagram account that can be followed for free where she posts a lot of helpful stuff @the.holistic.psychologist

Cooking @lemmy.world•Talk me out of using countertop induction cooktops (with outlets for both higher powered commercial and lower powered household devices) as my burners vs having a built-in cooktop.
10·3 years agoDepending on what kind of outlet you’re talking about and what country you’re in you may be limited in the power it will have. In the US at 110 V and maybe being able to pull 15 A (based on fuse for that circuit) you could only get 1650 W. A regular cook top or range is hard wired, has a much bigger fuse on they circuit usually 30 to 40 A and gets two phases so has 220 V which allows for much higher power output. My range’s big induction burner has 3600 W for example so it’s quite the difference.

This guy just did a privacy review of wireless security cameras. ReoLink was a good option.
