Selfhosted@lemmy.world•If you already know Docker CLI, is there a reason to use Portainer?English
51·2 years agoYou can just connect a (local) Git repo to it and store your compose files over there. There should be even an auto-sync (if you’re into that kind of thing).
Not entirely true, I’m running Ubuntu on MBP 2017 (non-Touchbar). WiFi works out of the box, only touchbar models have problems. They are using another antenna. Only thing that doesn’t work out of the box are FaceTime webcam and sound. There are drivers for those. One thing to note tho, Intel MBP especially those thin ones can get very hot and fans might blast.

1·2 years agoI knew about DV not working. But how about regular HDR? I’m interested in going this route but would prefer to keep HDR.

10·3 years agoSeems to me YT is just blocking the instances so they have to move their servers constantly. Big or small instances, both get blocked every few days. Thankfully there are enough instances, so you can always hop. But it does require more intervention than Invidious, which doesn’t proxy your requests to Google.

The latter. Seedboxes are becoming more popular these days, which might be good for future torrent preservation. But if you have a niche or old school taste, you are gonna have a hard time without port forwarding.
