I feel like this is a dumb question but why do web engines need constant development? I thought we had an established standard for HTML. Once a web engine matches that standard isn’t that sufficient?

4·2 years agoMy workplace is transitioning a bunch of their data and processing to the cloud. When I look at what software makes the cloud work, there is soooo much open source software there. Big business is quite comfortable with FOSS

LLMs consume vast amounts of energy and freash water and release lots of carbon. That is enough for me to not want to “play” with them.
