I use Discord primarily for text chats, specifically being able to create several topic channels on a server. Last I used TS/Vent they were for voice chats. Is that still the case?

A ton of game companies (especially indies) have moved bug reports and patch notes over to discord. Suggesting something on the steam forums often gets you redirected to their discord server. And it’s not just gaming companies. I’ve got several pieces of software that the easiest way to find out about betas and updates are to use their discord server. It feels fairly unavoidable if you want to stay informed.

For many of us, that’s true. And that’s something present even at the college and high school football levels. Last night, I tuned in just for the halftime show and turned the game off after. Similarly, people at my college were known for leaving football games after watching the band’s performance at halftime. While football is a huge deal to many, there’s also a significant amount of people that only show up for the musicians.

I’ve found Kagi to be solid, but it is paid
I’ve always thought it had the same energy in that they both simply acknowledge having seen the message. What’s wrong with that?
When I use it, I mean ok, because that’s what it actually means. It’s simply a way to acknowledge someone was heard. I will not be changing bc others read more into it. Tis way too exhausting to consider every hidden meaning someone might have.

This explanation really helped me make sense of it: Monty Hall Problem (best explanation) - Numberphile

When will they understand, if I’m introduced to your product through an advertisement, I do not want to buy it. I will make a point not to. Do not annoy me. If your product is good enough, it will be bought.

On the surface, I probably look like the person you’re describing, but no one knew I had an ADHD diagnosis that went ignored in childhood. No one knew how much I was masking every day. It’s harder now because I have to make my own meals, clean my house, etc. All the things I didn’t have to do as a kid. I got to learn, which I loved (my special interest is research) and do various activities I enjoyed, even if it was exhausting. Now, I’m stuck doing all the things I was never taught by my family, with no structure, just trying to survive. Of course it’s harder than when I was a kid. Those memes help me feel valid and seen, something my family were never willing to do, but at least now I have friends that get it.
There’s so much trauma that happens from neurodivergence being ignored in childhood, and that takes time to process. I spend a lot of my days crying over all the times I wasn’t allowed to cry growing up, processing things in therapy, etc. I literally can’t force myself to enjoy life without first having the needed tools. It’s sad that I can’t do what I used to, but I’m slowly getting there. Kindness and patience are what are needed most, when that’s not something I was given as a child.
All this to say, you never know what’s below the surface.

This is me too, including every janky MMO I think I might remotely like. Gotta grab my character name. But Threads, haven’t bothered to touch it.

Thanks! I’ll give it a look.

Same here! Rarely leave the house without it

Better search. Even with modifiers, results are so chaotic and not what I’m looking for. Just the other day I was trying to find recent information and set the parameter to only results in the past month. Three separate search engines (Google, DuckDuckGo and Bing) all showed year old results first. Not to mention the bubble they put you in.
For some of us with a tendency to overapologize, learning to say thank you instead at times is helpful.

The day I can play all my games on Linux and know the games i want to play will come to it, I will rejoice. I want so badly not to be stuck on Windows.

It’s like dentist only know how to shame. I have yet to meet one that understands self-care is hard for people with ADHD/Autism. I’m doing by best and shame makes me give up.
“Trump on Elon Musk: ‘He knows those computers better than anybody. All those computers. Those vote-counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide.’”
Not totally convinced she lost.
