It’s such a deep and beautiful game, so hard to master yet fun and challenging at any level of skill. Climbing the ranking ladder is a true challenge with yourself.
It’s also an esport and a game that you can play at any age.

Yes and yes.
Personally I always found systemd amazing, it brought logic and order in the init world.
Finally some consistent API and predictable behavior.
Does anybody use Peertube here? How is it? Good content? Accessible from mobile?

1·3 years agoWell actually Toyota had the best tech for many years for hybrid cars employing batteries and electrical engines.
I’m not so sure that they’re behind in terms of know how for EV, quite the opposite actually.
because it is one of the most promoted, for example. Either that one or lemmy.ml. Currently most people don’t even know what an instance is and just look for a main Lemmy page where to register.
Sure, they might migrate, still the problem could easily happen again.

With 12k users the server had to be upgraded, imagine if it was 1 million. Somebody has to pay those bills and it’s yet to see how it will work with donations. So I think that this is the main challenge, not impossible at all to tackle (see Lichess or Wikipedia who live out of donations) but it’s definitely interesting to see how it will work.
I think it will take time to smooth few rough edges but already now it’s usable.
However I have big concerns on his this structure can scale, it already suffers with few thousands users. Plus security, privacy and sustainability of the fediverse is still a big question mark to me.
But it’s exciting and I hope it will be the future of socials.
I guess it’s marketing and smoke on the eyes, unfortunately.
It could be that sources are actually available somewhere but I couldn’t find them either.
