I’m so torn up by the sequel. It was pretty mid overall, but the final bossfight was so incredibly infuriating that it ruined my overall impression of the game, so much so that I’d rather the sequel never existed at all.

It is, but it’s a little weird when compared to the post because it’s still getting updates.
That’s why I play World of Warcraft Classic, which is actually the game from 20 years ago (technically 18 since I’ll be playing Burning Crusade Classic soon.)
“Eeyup, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I got here. Well, it’s a long story, but it all started when my ancestors decided to leave the ocean”

I mean, I’m still just one person, so uhhhh guess I’m taking out a lot of people before they get security detail.

only one I really care to do every year is watching The Hogfather. best christmas movie 10/10 no notes.

I mean, do you pirate games? If you’ve never gone to a torrent site in your life it’s not surprising, but FitGirl’s repacks are so numerous that it’s hard not to notice them if you do pirate.

I commit foodcrimes. The latest on the agenda is some dessert ramen my friend had in a dream. It consists of a sweet broth, sour straws, tapioca perals, orange slices, and a panko fried candy bar. Currently trying to source gummy narutomaki and figure out which candy bar to fry.

like many things, this is the fault of the British. meat pies do not feel like pies.

I can understand a Pecan. Not personally for me, but I get it. To a lesser extent, I could maybe even understand like a chocolate cream. It’s definitely out there, but maybe there’s some specific allergens at the table.
Key Lime Pie? Banana Cream? Tamale Pie?! if somebody showed up to my friendsgiving with that they are not being asked back.

I have now learned that most Americans have incorrect preferences

There’s a well-known quote about how capitalism seems inescapable, but so did the divine right of kings. The problem I have with it is that we didn’t get rid of kings. If anything, men like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Jeff Bezos, they have more wealth and power than kings could ever even dream of. All that’s really happened is that royalty has been obfuscated; they no longer need to be the face of the kingdom. They can buy elected leaders to achieve their goals, purchase media companies in order to control the narrative of the peasantry, and they never need to step in the spotlight. It makes me think that humanity will ultimately never be able to rid ourselves of these parasites; there will always be dragons.

World of Warcraft, I’m making the Legion no longer all aliens, they’re demons from Hell again. Also the Draenei look exclusively like the Broken, no pretty goats allowed.
Yes I am retconning a retcon, it’s been ~20 years and it still bothers me! also ig Shadowlands never happened, just for good measure.

p sure that’s one of the bigass thundercubes, it’s used for krangling.

I did! The outcome has been that I go to the gym now lol, these days about 2-4 times a month depending on how I feel. I was trying to chase the dragon of a tight tummy for the first six months and was regularly going 3 times a week, but slowed down once I realized that my bloating probably has other causes.

okay so the Magikarp swims up the waterfall…

If you can seperate the author from the work, then yeah. There’s nothing I can remember from a recent rewatch that’s like tastelessly pervy in it. It does handle some mature themes, there’s some episodes that deal with like SA and stuff like that, but it was handled with levity.
That said, you’ll probably still cringe a bit because there’s parts of it that are so blatantly late 90s/early 2000s that they’re just funny to think about now. stuff like the “internet ghost” is incredibly dated.
or even worse than that, I’ve seen so many listings that are just training AI to eventually do your job. like they have a human there to ask why and try to understand how to perform the job function, but they’re teaching both the human and the AI at the same time.
job market is in a really shitty place in the U.S. right now.
because other places aren’t hiring at a similar salary and benefits
I dunno if it really counts, because these days I play Diablo 2 Resurrected instead of the real OG, but god I still love Diablo 2. I was playing a Druid Maul build a little bit just last weekend in anticipation of Path of Exile 2 adding animal transformations. It’s just one of those classic Blizzard titles I go back to at least once every year, alongside Warcraft 3 and Starcraft. They’re like the triumvirate of my childhood nostalgia.
Wish the company wasn’t so awful.
