It’s not really capitalism without the involvement of capital, is it? It’s more akin to a trade-and-barter-economy/society, where everyone involved should have a high level of faith in others
Really fun game, but it never hooked me to a point that i finished the story

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How to stay hygienic w/ sensory issues
2·2 months agoThe tag mentions close too 100% cotton, but also “biocide”. So probably not the best for the environment, but it still works after a couple hundred washes

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How to stay hygienic w/ sensory issues
41·2 months agoIf smell is an issue, try different clothing. A couple years back i discovered “anti-microbial” shirts. I have no idea what they’re treated with, but they basically suppress BO. If i wear normal cotton t-shirts, i feel like i reek in the early afternoon. On a more natural sode, I’ve recently had very positive experiences with merino wool clothing.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Thoughts on privacy focused smart glasses?
1·3 months agoIt doesn’t work perfectly, but if using smart glasses anywhere outside of the restricted areas of your business risks huge whooping fines, smart glasses will only be allowed in those restricted areas. The same already goes for dangerous tools and hazardous chemicals. On a PC, you can easily screenshot and -record to create documentation or help others. Having this e.g. for a woodworking technique or to show how to replace a specific part in an engine might be a huge value add. But no one needs this shit while grabbing lunch in a public place.

22·3 months agoOr at least make them “for professional use only”, and regulate them like they’re body cams. If companies risk GDPR fines, they might self-regulate enough to take care of the problem.

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Bambu Lab Sent a Cease-and-Desist. The AGPL Might Send One Back.English
21·4 months agoI fully agree with you. My next one won’t be a Bambu, but as long as my P1S works, it’ll be my main machine. And back when i bought my A1 mini, there simply was no comparable alternative in the sub 200€ range. It’s great that this is now a different story, but since printers take a couple of years to break down, the change in market share won’t happen overnight.

1917·4 months agoTheir printers just work. If you’re not interested in printers, but only printing the apple-of3d-printing is exactly what you want, which seems to be the majority of people. I own a Bambu and a sovol, to satisfy “both hobbies”. But at the end of the day, when I just need to print a replacement part I spent a non-trivial amount of time designing, my first pick is always the Bambu. Sadly, convenience beats freedom

Technology@lemmy.world•European banks to launch euro stablecoin in bid to counter US dominanceEnglish
2·11 months agoIt is. That’s why banks have publicly backed Wero in favor of the digital euro. It might also be a reason for the relatively low limits of the digital euro wallets, but that’s just my speculation.

Technology@lemmy.world•European banks to launch euro stablecoin in bid to counter US dominanceEnglish
4·11 months agoThe digital euro will be centralized on the European Central Bank, so the transactions do not depend on some local banks. It’s in direct competition with the banks themselves. But yeah, not that big a difference for the end user imho

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Upgrading from Bambu Lab A1 MiniEnglish
2·1 year agoMight be a setup error on my part, but the P1S has had more print quality problems than my A1m. Also, when iterating on new drafts, I find it useful to have 2 printers to print staggered versions, reducing my wait times. Again, if you don’t have the resources to keep it, sell it by all means. After all, that’s what I did. But i do sometimes miss it’s simplicity and ease of use. Going back to your first question, i just never updated my a1m, nor my p1s, so they both worked fine with Orca slicer. The app and online functionality still works

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Upgrading from Bambu Lab A1 MiniEnglish
2·1 year agoI started it with the A1 mini, then got a Sovol sv08, then aP1S, after selling the A1m. If you can afford it, keep yours, I miss mine. Yes, its too small for some things, but unbeatable for everything that fits on it’s build plate.
Is there a list of printer (brand) specific communities?
Apply baby powder on the build plate, shake of the excess. Seems to fill in the gaps. I can’t recall where i learnt about it, but it works really well. Stickiness on textured pei is comparable to pla or petg.
I used to throw the textured pei plate with the sticking print into the freezer for 15 min, made removal much easier. Now I just add baby powder onto my build plate, and remove the print at room temp. Much easier, a little messier

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Holidaymaker's 'nightmare' Corfu hotel stay where there was 'no English food'English
2·1 year agoI have, more than once. Although I do pay extra care to book resorts known for the quality of their catering. But yes, you xan have a huge buffet with restaurant quality food. That also means you see a dozen cooks standing behind the buffet preparing the food, and pricing reflects this as well.

Sorry if it wasn’t clear, but money != Capital, not necessarily. You can have money to exchange for goods, but as long as your money doesn’t auto-accumulate via interest, dividends etc, you don’t necessarily have capital. Of course this is mainly a discussion on definitions then
