Sounds a bit like me who used to translate anime fanfics as a 12-year-old and is now working as a professional translator… Experience is experience, I guess :D

yup, you’re right, they turn a very dark shade of blue (that looks quite similar to the grey though)

Hi there, I’m the one who created the origami community on feddit.de :) After the instance shut down, I reopened another community on feddit.org (https://feddit.org/c/origami), but afterwards I didn’t have much time to fold something and so I unfortunately neglected the community (that’s why there are only a few post). If you want to fold something else, however, feel free to post something over there! Maybe I’ll also fold something small to get the ball rolling again soon, who knows :)
Hey, that’s the origami community I created a while ago (the second one after feddit.de shut down), thanks for the shout-out!
To be honest, I kind of neglected the community due to a lack of time and motivation, but maybe I’ll try folding something again to post over there, so thank you for the reminder!

In addition, the German language does not really differentiate between turtles and tortoises: both are called “shield toads”, but if you want to be more specific, you can say “water shield toads” or “land shield toads”, respectively.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What characterises the musical style of the 2020s, 2010s and 2000s?

1·2 years agoA few years ago, I found the music genre Math rock (especially instrumentals) which has been phenomenal for whenever I have to be productive, since my brain is hyped and busy enough to not bother me with thoughts, but not too busy to be completely distracted. I swear it’s like handing my toddler brain a tablet just to have a few minutes of uninterrupted time to be able to do some Adult Things like writing emails and uni stuff.
if someone is interested, I can drop the link to my Math rock playlist on Spotify
Edit: Here you go, a link for my little playlist with mainly Math rock tracks (aptly called “Traubenzucker”, which is German for “dextrose” lol): https://open.spotify.com/playlist/30EWXxsm8mj2exYlne10Dw?si=D6kBAFemQe2BKiL9WWCPJQ&pt=f6f1836c5d7b6182ea91098653b5b127&pi=iC_J-yz6RrOie
I think this link only works for a week, so if the link is invalid, just send me a message and I’ll send you a new one :)

My grandma usually puts her late tomato harvest in a brown bag which she stores in a warm place so the tomatoes ripen with time (that usually takes around 2 weeks)
