I got a speeding ticket a year ago, and they included a link to a video of me going too fast through an intersection. In my case, I was between two other cars, and because I was unfamiliar with the camera, I was the only one that didn’t tap on their brakes while going through. Regardless, the video was clear evidence against me, so I paid it.

In short, I think they’ve gotten much better since your experience. It at least felt fair.

I was disappointed when I saw that there are few roads in the game (my expectations were far too high). I was hoping for, idk, 70% of roads? I’ve spent more time in minecraft and terraria (and skylim, released in 2011, which I last played in 2023) than I have in any other games, and those aren’t exactly what I’d call “premium”. I’d agree that more than money needs to be poured into a game to make it good.

Coastal area checking in, same thing for the tsunami alarms. I had some good fun with a tourist when, after they asked what the droning sound was, I replied with “Oh, it’s just the tsunami alarm” and then didn’t react to it. They were visibly nervous, so I waited a sec and then said “It’s just a test 😁”

I feel like he is closer to the norm than we think. We should all strive to be like that, rather than relegating it to random chance. We should also demand more of our leaders.

If you have some spare time, you might try visiting an animal shelter, just to give the animals there some playtime and affection. We are much longer-lived than our pets, and it’s our responsibility to make sure they have the best lives possible. I bet you did that for your kitty, and they were thankful for it.

Speaking as someone with anxiety, try not to predict what others feel. You’re likely going to be wrong, and never in a good way. It’s not your responsibility to guess what others are feeling, it’s their responsibility to tell you. Always assume the most neutral opinion from others, and only change that if they say otherwise.

If you need to stay alone to recuperate, then go all-in on it. Let your friends know that you had a bout of anxiety. If you’re worried about them being upset, then not giving them a reason won’t help that.
