If it ain’t baroque don’t fix it

This is my first time encountering his work. When I read the title of this post, I interpreted it as “artwork title - credited artist”. so I thought that “the internet’s sweetheart (for understandable reasons)” was the title of the artwork in the thumbnail.
It would indeed be perfectly understandable why that crawling mummy thing would be the internet’s sweetheart though.

Forgive the pedantry. It’s me hearties.

I recommend the book On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers. Sounds like it’s exactly what you’re looking for.
Honestly? You’d be surprised at how helpful it can be. I’ve sent routes with a slight buzz that I never could have done completely sober. It helps take the edge off the fear, and it helps you stay loose and keeps you from sapping all your strength from tensing too much. Every advantage helps when you’re pressing your limits.
Climbing while excessively drunk is of course a terrible idea.

Fun fact: This was actor and contortionist Doug Jones’s first role.
There is at least one. I’m not entirely sure how to link it, but it’s this one:
Sub.wetshaving.social
A.A. Attanasio’s The Last Legends of Earth. This book is absolutely bonkers, and I don’t mean that as a slight. It has, among other things, a race of sentient spiders called the zotl which feed off of the pain of sentient creatures. It’s a wild ride.
Lots of great suggestions here. One movie I’d like to highlight is Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes, which I found to be fun, clever, and utterly charming.
