My name is Matt. I enjoy helping people with technology related issues. I also like adorable animals.
O! had I the ability, and could I reach the nation’s ear, I would, today, pour out a fiery stream of biting ridicule, blasting reproach, withering sarcasm, and stern rebuke. For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. The feeling of the nation must be quickened; the conscience of the nation must be roused; the propriety of the nation must be startled; the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed; and its crimes against God and man must be proclaimed and denounced.

So there’s Pixelmon but that is mainly the capturing and battling, not tasks and skills based on the creature.
There’s also Critters and Companions where tamed creatures can dig and do other base Minecraft tasks
Last suggestion is Rats which will let you automate and do nearly anything in Minecraft with Rats

Wow, thanks for the detailed answer, much appreciated!

Cheers, much appreciated!

Okay I’ll admit I’ve never watched any Star Trek but the amount of memes and content here has me curious to start.
If anyone has a “where to start” recommendation let me know.

That’s exactly how I am as well, it’s infuriating at times for sure lol.

Question for you - when you say it’s work is it more like:
It’s a challenge to summon any imagery in your mind’s eye
Or
You can picture a vague hazy apple, but it morphs / distorts into other things?

Which, this solves a lot of Windows issues even if you don’t use Linux.

Not how I expected GW2 to come up on Lemmy… But here we are hahaha
Wow. This is super tempting to try.

Very cool, thanks for sharing! Will try this with the SO this weekend.

Fun site related to the discussion
Granted, there’s also issues of screen quality/accuracy

If you’re handy, you could try making your own! https://youtu.be/K1T1eMyPIC4
I know you said avoiding Logitech namly, but the Logitech C920 is one of the most recommended webcams because of the price, quality, and features (physical privacy cover, FoV, etc.). The other benefit of having a popular webcam (or any PC hardware) is it means better software support.
Otherwise, there is a c920 clone Aukey PC-LM1E 1080p

This was my Teamspeak avatar for years:

Very nice. Especially like the little waterfalls

Me looking at your username

It absolutely blew my mind when TechnologyConnections shared the % of users who use the subscription page to get to their videos…

Beautiful

Same sentiment - I’ve been looking at some alternatives like the Legion Go or Asus’s variant and putting SteamOS on it - but I’d really rather stick with Valve’s own hardware if possible.
