The Charité is the Hospital of the Humboldt University in Berlin. It is a big name in medical science in Germany. They even made a similar named tv series about the hospital. The building is the so called „Bettenhaus“ (Bed house), build between 1977 and 1982 in the former DDR (east Germany).

It was founded in 1709. Quite some medical history was written there.

Door handles are a safety feature to open a stuck door with force from the outside. This has been common knowledge (at least in the German car industry) for years. Google some pictures of expensive German cars like Porsche 911, VW Phaeton, BMW 7 and others. Almost all of them have door handles.

Would the designers imagine it without handles and clean lines? You bet. Google Audi Design study: no handles at all.

May I tell you the story of my wife, a doctor, who send us to her parents in lockdown, worked her ass of in full protection a couple of hundred kilometers south, seeing our two little kids only at the weekends, if there were absolutely no symptoms and she didn’t have a shift the day before, for month? When she didn’t not have to work, she sat alone in our flat contemplating on the newly dead people who where to young to die.

Wearing a fucking mask was not the part that sucked during lockdown.

Nextcloud has a similar file storage like SharePoint/OneDrive minus the content types and taxonomy trees, but I doubt you need those. If you use Only Office as online Office App in Nextcloud, you have a comparable UI to Microsoft and it uses Office Open XML (docx, pptx, xlsx) as standard file system.

I don’t know what a paid hosting for your team would cost, but it could be worth it.
