Don’t worry, soon enough someone will figure out how to install Gentoo on it, and then you can have a headache every time you compile packages.

QTerminal, xterm, and of course, the good ol’ Linux console when I don’t wanna do anything graphical.
My personal recommendations for beginner distros:
-OpenSUSE
-Fedora
-EndeavourOS
-KDE Neon
-ElementaryOS
-Zorin OS
-Linux Mint
Or you could just install ordinary Debian, since it’s stable and well-supported. Kind of a GOAT among distros, alongside Slackware.
