Gaming@beehaw.org•whats a game that you got significantly far into, only to realize you were doing something wrong or missing a key feature/ability altogether?
7·3 years agoIn Hollow Knight I didn’t learn the stab down feature and by the time I found that out I couldn’t go back to learn it.

Technology@beehaw.org•Amazon named its “labyrinthine” Prime cancellation process after Homer’s IliadEnglish
2·3 years agoI just cancelled mine and noticed that on the app it’s really easy to find, but when you click on it it gives you an error without an explanation. Then when you open Amazon in a browser (where you can cancel without the error) it’s much harder to find. Definitely deliberate.

Email also doesn’t hang with a green loading circle for hours when you try to log in.

Technology@beehaw.org•YouTube tests blocking videos unless you disable ad blockersEnglish
7·3 years agoIf I wanted to watch 15 minutes of ads in a 45 minute video, I’d just get cable. I’m happy to watch 1 or 2 ads before a video. That’s it. So I use an app that can even remove promotions.
