3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Noob question about print qualityEnglish
38·3 years agoThis is quiet normal and not an error. It’s the Z-Seam, caused by the printer when finishing a layer and briefly stopping the printhead, before lifting it along the Z-Axis to the next layer.
Here you can find more about this effect and how to reduce it.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•How else would you get inside Frosty?English
4·3 years agoLol its facial expression doesn’t help either
Once you’ve seen how the heater cartridge melts the aluminium hotend and liquid aluminium setting everything on fire, it drops onto, you never print unattended again! For longer prints I always wait until the weekend, before starting it. As well I pause the print and turn heatbed and the nozzle heater off, before heading to bed. This method isn’t perfect, as it adds another possibility for failures, but until now it worked everytime. My last print succeeded after ~28h (print time only) this way. Another option is, to divide your model into smaller parts, which are easier to print and glue them together, when everything is finished.
My favourite game back the days. Although it was kinda hard and I never managed to land an ollie lol.
Oh ok, I didn’t notice this. Then it will surely work haha
Omg she is so incredibly cute <333 So fluffy aww. Wish I could have a dog on my own. Please keep up posting pics of her :3
Just turn it to the other side and it will be totally ok. So 250$ sounds pretty fair.

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•CR10 V2 Seems functional but will not recognize SD card or PC connectionEnglish
2·3 years agoI don’t have this printer, but the Ender 3 1st Gen. So here are some suggestions for things, I’ve noticed on mine.
- NTFS doesn’t work. So did you format the SD card with FAT32?
- Is your SD card maybe too big and did you try smaller cards, with 4GB capacity for example?
- Depending on your PC and the Mainboard of the CR10 you might need an FTDI driver to get it work. Did you check, if your OS recognises the printer in the device manager (Windows) or with lsusb (Linux)?
Not a single word how they may filter anything. Looks like a usual PLA print and a total scam. They look nice, but that’s it in my opinion.
Awww, soo adorable <3
You can try to get away with the classic “I use Arch btw.” Either they are seriously impressed and don’t ask any further then, or you fucked up completely.
Holy crap, that came unexpected xD

I like producing bugs, guess we would be a great team lol
It did what?! Holy crap, I’ve never heard of that. Guess I should be less lazy and run a backup more frequently.
