Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•This clump of snow looks like a bird
3·29 days agoSquirrels fight in the womb so only the strong are birthed. This ensures the parental love of a parent isn’t spread thin.

5·30 days agoI’m pretty sure that’s just a squirrel hibernating. Don’t disturb it or its parents will disown it and it’ll die alone.

2·2 months agoThese certainly do have a use on freight trucks but not your urban crawler tho. They help identify loose and rotating lugs and give you a little means to know when you’re too close to a curb. Plus as you drive you can shred other people’s tires.
Edit: these being the silver spikes not the ghetto push on hubcaps
Steven Miller acts like the dude who would drug you, put you in a hole, lower a bucket to you with lotion, spray you with a water hose till you put said lotion on, then murder you to wear your skin. News@lemmy.world•‘Who Wants to Live Like This?’ Locals Fume as Meta AI Data Center Upends Entire Community
11·2 months agoI’m projecting, as more corporations have more money than the local government and possibly the state, these small rural towns are going to get taken advantage of. The voices saying no will be ignored for the “prosperity” of the city or district. All while these data centers offer almost no long term jobs and abusing the city services like power and water.
It used to just be large developers for suburban sprawl and golf courses but AI is the new game in town.

2·2 months agoI did the whole ridge a few years ago. They posted a sign about airlifting goats out. Think Navy seal tea bags dangling from a rope attached to the helicopter. The history of the goats there is really a story about goat incest.

19·2 months agoThey want to reduce the needed learning so they can pay people less to do the same job but pass it off as some streamlining process to address shortages. They’re still going to charge the same for care but pay less to those who provide it.
Taking an actual problem and looking to address it from a capitalist view point so that line always goes up.

Reolink is what I use. Fairly similar in utility and options. Prices are ok but they go on sale pretty often. Poe, solar, and battery options for power.

This is just a prep for when the GOP loses significantly in the mid terms and the pendulum swings back against them. There is no intent to not be in lock step with project 2025, it is just a coincidence. I hope there’s significant restructure of the supreme court soon as more than half of them are bought and paid for.
