Some of it is though. For example, they take forever to update their servers when new versions of Lemmy are released and it often breaks compatibility with apps. They also have constant service disruption. Even if it is ddos attacks, they should be trying to mitigate them.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you ever feel like you have to apologize for .7z archives?
11·3 years agoI’m a Linux user, so I use .gz and .bz primarily for compression. If I just need to archive without compression I’ll just make a tarball. People on windows never complain. Maybe it’s just that I’m in the IT field, but most people have an archiving program installed. Plus, I am pretty sure Win11 can open most archive formats natively now.

3·3 years agoDamn! Is Pennsylvania becoming Florida?
I’m on Lemmy.world. I just picked it because it was one of the biggest, but I haven’t been entirely happy with it.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is an item below 100 bucks that everyone should own?
1·3 years agoYeah, I agree. I have replaced all my C-to-C cables with 2 meter cables. The 1 meter cables are just too damn short.

81·3 years agoThis Baseus USB C 65 Watt 3-port charger. I recently bought one to carry in my laptop bag as a portable charger, and it has proven to be indispensable. I’ve already used it while out and about or on trips out of town to simultaneously charge 3 devices at once. Such as my phone, earbuds, and laptop. It’s so small and lightweight, and you can bring a single charging brick to take care of all your devices. I’m never going back to having to carry multiple chargers with me.

1·3 years agoI don’t live in the EU. I have contacted my local representatives in the US, but we all know they are useless and won’t do a damn thing about it.

24·3 years agoI am really hoping some regulatory body strikes this down. Where’s the EU when we need them?

Android@lemmy.world•Are you guys tired of "Material You" design?English
1·3 years agoNo, not at all. I am really fond of Material You. I think it is a nice mix of modern and playful. The colors are great too. I seek out applications that adhere to the material you standards and allow for using system colors. I have a Pixel 7 and a Pixel Watch. I’m excited to see what Material You looks like on the watch when the Wear OS 4 update comes.
