I only check Reddit now for a game sub which, while on Lemmy, doesn’t have critical mass yet (and I’m not sure it will).

Also it would be good to implement one of those toast notifications “press back again to exit” that other apps have.

Technology@beehaw.org•Piped: The Youtube Experience You've Been Waiting ForEnglish
7·3 years agoDoesn’t this make NewPipe better in that instance? If it’s client side you aren’t going to be rate limited.
There is also a fork of NewPipe that integrates SponsorBlock (I don’t know if Piped has that).

Technology@beehaw.org•YouTube confirms 3-strike policy for blocking adsEnglish
6·3 years agoWhat happens if you use SmartTubeNext on a TV? I’m assuming the interface wouldn’t support the 3 strike YouTube popup so I guess you’d just get blocked without knowing why?
I’m guessing ReVanced will support the popup so you’d know.

Jerboa@lemmy.ml•Oh no. [#Jerboa](https://mastodon.social/tags/Jerboa) is crashing on launch after the update :(
13·3 years agoI can recommend, for Android:
Connect
Liftoff
Thunder
I’m using all 3, plus Jerboa, as they are all fantastic apps. At some point I’ll just stick with one, but it’s exciting following the development of these apps. Use Obtainium to keep them up to date (although Connect is Google Play only).

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is there a seamless way of linking to other instances?
2·3 years agoThey kind of work, you can see below that the content is not from those communities. I have to change the sort method to get the content, but the sort method is broken for me as I’m on lemmy.one which is not on v18:

It now looks like this in 0.35:

Programming@beehaw.org•I am working on a new lemmy app for iOS and Android, here's my current progressEnglish
9·3 years agoI don’t have much of an imagination so I asked Bing AI:
- LemmyGo: A simple and fast way to access Lemmy on your mobile device.
- Lemur: A cute and catchy name that plays on the similarity between Lemmy and lemur, a type of primate.
- Lemo: A sleek and modern name that sounds like a combination of Lemmy and emoji.
- Lemix: A name that suggests mixing and sharing content on Lemmy.
- Lemyx: A name that uses an unconventional spelling to stand out from the crowd.
Do you have a link please? I can only see 0.34 from the below:
That’s .33 right? Inbox didn’t have the vote buttons, context, mark as read etc but .34 fixes that. I’m on .34 but I can’t open that image in the comment.
Good tip Master Yoda
This was missing on .33, updated to .34 yesterday and they are back.

This is actually amazing. I’ve done a bit of editing as I play Pokémon Go which uses OSM for the background map. I got fed up of just looking at roads so I mapped in all the buildings, shops, parks etc near me.
This gamifies walking and exploring which I love!
