PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Study finds 72% of Developers View Steam as Monopoly [from the overall pool, 75% of respondents were senior managers]English
2·3 months agoNailed it, this is an ad for their company, that’s all the poll is, and of course it backs up the purpose of the company, almost like they set out from the beginning to create a poll with the results they wanted. Once they did that, they fired up their email (or hired a PR company) and spammed every news outlet they could to get them to cover. Steamdeckhq was dumb enough to take the bait, literally advertising this company for free, and OP continued that idiocy by posting here.

Mechanical Keyboards@lemmy.ml•Keebuilder is the mechanical keyboard cataloging and sharing app I've been waiting for
1·4 months agoI dunno, I’m posting my boards one a week to social media like Twitter and Reddit, for a year. 52 boards, and that’s not even the entire collection. I’m putting these boards into Keebuilder, as a way to track my collection while adding in all the nice photos I’m taking for the social posts. There’s certainly no shortage of using my boards when posting to social media, but I do see your point that Keebuilder is a phone app and you don’t use a keyboard to fill in its information.
I guess for me my boards are getting use no matter what, I’m fine with using my phone to catalog the collection, my boards aren’t complaining they’re getting ignored.

And they don’t want to do anything for themselves. It’s why AI is gaining ground, everyone is too lazy to do anything for themselves, and that includes finding good games and hacking their own roms.

11·4 months agoUh, what does BL4 have to do with anything? You said it’s “not true” the game has issues compiling shaders, the video I linked that you admit showcases blatant stuttering issues proves it does.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Is there something like LinkedIn, but without big tech involvement, no data collection, no ads, open source, and preferably decentralized (maybe Fediverse or even P2P)?
7·4 months agoYou’ll never get the recruiters to participate, because their companies will never let them. LinkedIn is corpo hive-mind central, friendly to corpos first and foremost. What you’re proposing wouldn’t be friendly to corpos, inherently, so they’ll never join, and they hold the strings because they are the ones with jobs to offer.
You’re literally asking how to take the corporatism out of LinkedIn when that is precisely what allows it to exist. Why would any company participate on a platform that gives workers the advantage? Hint, they won’t.

2·4 months agoYeah, kinda surprising, right, that they actually teamed up with Modretro, a company that actually cares about its customers. It’s a strange pairing, but I’m glad it’s happening. More Ubisoft titles are coming from Modretro.

3·4 months agoI had the GBA game back in the day. The GBC game is better, and was released very late in the console’s life, the GBA was actually out when this GBC game launched. Basically the GBC game is one of the best platformers on the console, much like Wayforward’s titles late in the GBC’s life.
