Huh… I have both as well and I think the original is better in that regard. It has less mechanics (contingencies, Pod ejection schedule…) making it much easier to understand for beginners. Also I like the theme and the alien design more, but this is subjective of course. In our gaming group we have generally more fun with OG Nemesis (only slightly though, lockdown is great too). I’d choose the original over lockdown.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a movie you enjoyed so much in theaters you saw it multiple times there?
1·2 years agoAin’t gonna happen because there is no such thing as 4K 3D in Home Cinema terms, because unfortunately 4K UHD Blu-ray’s don’t even support 3D. It’s not in the spec. But yeah, I hope 3D will come back in a few years with much better specs.

81·2 years agoI went to see the original Avatar movie 3 times. First time I unknowingly watched it in 2D. Then I thought “this would be amazing in 3D”. Then I saw it in 3D and it was so fantastic that, a few weeks later, I watched in 3D again. No regerts.
Damn I spent too much time on the interwebs. I instantly thought of the guy trying to stick the remote up his ass.
I tried playing Human Punishment the Beginning and it just wouldn’t click in my head. That’s probably the most complex game I have (or the game with the shittiest rulebook).

1·3 years agoBeen looking for an alternative for iTunes for ages. iTunes runs like hot garbage on my PC, but for me it just seemed like there just wasn’t anything like it for offline music playback an d management. This looks very promising, I’ll definitely check it out. Thanks!

2·3 years agoYeah nice choice, I like to take this with me as well.
Simutrans is great, but looks like dogshit.
“The thing” is always a great watch and worth coming back to.
Risk of Rain 2, man. My absolute favorite game of all time.
Every damn time. At work I got in contact with several “AI startups” and only after directly asking if they’re just relying on Open AI they finally admitted that they are.
You could really tell they where trying to keep things vague before that.

0·3 years agoIs it just me or does that screenshot, all dark grey with white text and some red text, look very 3D to you? I don’t know how to explain it, but the red text looks to me like it is floating closer to my face than the rest of the text (mobile). Like subtitles in a 3D movie. Am I hallucinating? What’s going on?

1·3 years agoI’ve always used tamarind paste. I’ve never seen pulp anywhere. I wouldn’t know where to get that tbh. Do you happen to have a copy of the page? :)

1·3 years agoThanks for your reply, makes a lot of sense. I’ll just keep iterating. I know sometimes it just takes a while to get it right. Took me at least 6 or 7 tries to get Chinese Hui Guo Rou right, hahaha.

When I think of BSG, what comes to mind for me is something like Panic Station, or maybe Human Punishment (the Beginning). Maybe take a look at those three games if you don’t know them already.
