1·3 years agoAlright, doesn’t mean it didn’t lower your attention span. Just that you’re less bored :D
Yeah, as I wrote :) Ani-woke has another definition of what “woke” means.
PC was used correctly too. Doesn’t word “woke” mean two diff iterent things to users supporting that and opposing? To these opposing it’s more clearly represented as “wokeism”, almost a religion that demands you obey it’s rules or be treated like a religious one heathen (as religions often do). To supporters it’s like you said - closer to “being aware of and concerned about social issues”.
Yeah, there’s nothing said about being against in the comment you’re replying to. Just that changing the term to woke is not necessarily bad. Where did you take that from?

1645·3 years agoThe grabbing part is clear - but “calm your tits” and “stop being such a bitch”? At least where I live both are gender neutral, first one even used most often male to male. Am I missing something? Would it not have been sexual harassment but just toxic culture if it was another cuss? E.g. when you say “motherfucker” you don’t actually mean “somebody having sexual relations with one’s mother”. Can somebody with more knowledge about US legal system explain this to me?

Technology@beehaw.org•Most bosses regret how they mandated workers return to the office. They blamed it on not having enough data
4·3 years agoThat’s a great example - makes me wonder who actually liked it in the first place to sell it - my boss, his boss and basically everyone I knew hated open space. Where did this scourge originate?
Sure, which side is default (or other small nuisances) might be preference, but if you take away the option to customize (which was once there) the critic is valid IMO.

I see you wrote that you’re thinking about making it FOSS. What’s the alternative? Paid software/non-free license + Open Source or proprietary? If you’re low on time and don’t have the capacity to maintain (bugfixes/reports from users) yourself then I say proprietary is a no-go. Then about the license - IMO (though I don’t have hard data on that on hand) people much more likely contribute to FOSS as opposed to locked in license + open source model.
