Ah yes the hegemonic narrative of… the scientific method. The droning voice of…kindness.
What a hellscape.
Very well put
I can barely even understand how anyone could think PBS is propaganda.
None of these chuds have ever watched a minute of PBS in their adult lives.

Just going to remind everybody that in no way does any corruption, scandal, etc mean that Russia’s violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty become justified.
I saw the videos in the first days of civilians being slaughtered in their cars.
Corruption bad. Does not mean invading them is fair game. Especially when the invading country has much more, and more obvious, corruption.

Amazon is the perfect example of capitalism metasticizing and killing society.
It is good for companies to innovate, reduce costs, etc.
It is terrible for those companies to then become so powerful they can control legislation and crush any further competition for all perpetuity.
Capitalism is fantastic, until you realize that without strong regulation, companies will simply squeeze everything beneath them in the name of profit.
I worked in logistics and supply chain for over a decade. Let me tell you, you know shit is broken when all you see is fealty to the largest companies.
Small business pays 2000 for a container? Walmart is paying 200. Why? Because Walmart brings in so much business that any shipping company would drown a million bags of kittens just to get a slice, so they in turn quote low, and squeeze anyone they have power over (suppliers, staff)
It’s a sick game, and it’s killing us.

Fair enough, that was more of a screaming info the void kind of statement for any MAGA/Maple MAGA chuds who might be reading
🥱 boring attempt at rage bait

What it says is that we will always prioritize money and convenience over quality or societal health. Simple as.

You vastly overestimate the number of people who would choose higher prices in order to support higher wages. Vastly. I mean you almost sound crazy the idea is so out there. I wish you you were right though FWIW.
As a whole, society rewards the lowest acceptable quality at the lowest possible price. It’s called capitalism and it is, in fact, the direct cause of the in progress collapse of civilization. And there’s nothing you can do to stop it, because your neighbor will still happily line up for 15 minutes to get a lukewarm, incompletely cut bagel with 98% of the cream cheese on one side, with a mediocre coffee, served by a temporary foreign worker.
It’s not the immigrants/TFWs, it never was, it never will be.
Does it?
The world I’m in, I can practically see the flames licking at my feet…

Qobuz has been working just fine for me since the beginning of this year, hadn’t even heard of them before that.

First of all, my comment was not about the headline so much as all the comments talking about Russia not being ready, so not sure what “reacting” I was doing yo the headline (can you read?) Secondly, the headline does not “seem like” Putin is threatening Europe with war. Thirdly, your “opposite” line at the end is basically the exact same thing as the headline you are criticizing (“we are ready” = “Putin says Russia is ready”)
You’ve wasted my precious electrons thank you

Push Russia out of Ukraine. No need to cross the border into Russia. Totally justified, no threat to Moscow. Sets precedent.
Why would that be so risky? If the answer is because nukes, my point stands.
Then one of them inevitably opens up a place like this, looking more or less like this…
