As other comments have stated, other brands usually also sell non-RGB RAM sticks. Personally I got Kingston FURY Beast RAM sticks, they come in either RGB or non-RGB variety, though the RGB variety costs like 10 dollars more.

Funnily enough, that site was also down due to Cloudflare issues. lmao
That was a fun read! I don’t even know what Postman is but I do like curl :P

Just want to cheer you up a bit. You don’t need a relationship to be happy. I hate that people think like that nowadays but everyone should be allowed to be happy being single. But also, if you do seek a relationship it might still happen eventually. You got this :)
Also: OP sure is an ass lol. The original post is pretty stupid. Maybe just rage bait.

Regarding your edit:
Having read through the comment chains here, your source is a relatively new malware called RingReaper.
This article from cybersecurity news seemed nice and they linked to the actual PICUS security report which first identified the malware, I think.
I’m not sure whether this malware is actually used to infect Linux desktops or if it’s mostly used for infecting servers, or whether it is used at all. I agree that people shouldn’t let their guard down with malware on Linux. Anti-malware programs on Linux are a good idea and it seems there are already projects tracking and combating malware on Linux. I do agree that Linux malware is not unheard of.
Nonetheless you seem to over exaggerate a bit. There is malware attacking servers running Linux but I doubt that many of those would work on desktop Linux. Furthermore, desktop share of Linux is still low, so there won’t be a big incentive for malicious actors to target Linux desktops specifically. The comments you posted here seem more like paranoia to me and do not seem useful, and your single example of a Linux kernel virus seems more like a derailment of the conversation. With that I can understand the downvotes. Don’t take it too harsh either, no need for your witty comment:
Explains a lot of contemporary politics, I think
lol

I hope you’re alright after that physical attack! Hope someone educated the kid on their autism and their actions too. I think I slightly understand the train of thought with the “it’s not an animal” argument though. I’m guessing the kid assumed that the word gold was reserved for actual gold unless talking about animals like the golden hamster or goldfish where it just meant gold colored :P
Edit: also sorry for sending this comment thrice, no idea how that happened

Maybe, I really couldn’t tell that. To me this was a story about someone’s autistic brother who had multiple mental breakdowns with rampaging construction sites and injuring other classmates. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I wouldn’t expect many people to know about concretes dangerous environmental impact through released CO2 during production and it is not mentioned in the post either.

This post kinda feels like op is ridiculing autism with a probably made up story. Hyperfixation is a thing with autists but they don’t only talk about one topic and they shut up from time to time too. Autists are more than their hyperfixations, they’re humans.

Percentile gang, let’s go! 😎
The median, or 50th percentile, here would be 17 or 18, meaning 50% of the princesses are aged 17 or lower, and 50% are aged 18 or higher.

yeah, I had the same problem. Probably because I’m connecting from Europe.
Here’s a link from the Internet archive where you can read the article.
Indeed, usually you would want to avoid a notation of sqrt(-1) or (-1)^(1/2). You would use e^(1/2 log(-1)) instead because mathematicians have already decided on a “natural” way to define the logarithm of complex numbers. The problem here lies with choosing a branch of the logarithm as e^z = x has infinitely many complex solutions z. Mathematicians have already decided on a default branch of the logarithm you would usually use. This matters because depending on the branch you choose sqrt(-1) either gives i or -i. A square-root is usually defined to only give the positive solution (if it had multiple values it wouldn’t fit the definition of a function anymore) but on the complex plane there isn’t really a “positive” direction. You would have to choose that first to make sure sqrt is defined as a function and you do that via the logarithm branch.
So, just writing sqrt(-1) leaves ambiguity as you could either define it to give i or -i but writing e^(1/2 log(-1)) then everyone would just assume you use the default logarithm branch and the solution is i.
Not a computer scientist but (regarding the post title), this is still classified as an integer overflow as the result -1 flows out of the domain your datatype can represent (0-255).
An integer underflow is when two numbers are so close to each other they become indistinct in your representation. For example a number that is so small, a float would represent it as 0.
Love the meme though :)
reminds me of this tumblr meme :P

Dumb question but wasn’t there a cross-posting button so you can spread this meme to other communities?
reminds me of this furry version of the meme format :P

I also hate how ChatGPT infected the web nowadays is, though I usually look up song lyrics on genius. They sometimes have user generated comments with interesting tid bits. Akin to the old forums would be a lemmy community for interpreting song lyrics :)

Something not mentioned in the linked article: This was not an accident! The IDF confirmed to have killed him due to an alleged participation in Hamas. These allegations have been around for half a year and have been criticized since then for lack of proof. See Reporters without Borders article, The Times of Isreal article.
Haskell is pretty cool, I really like Scala too. It’s a bit easier to understand for me :P
