Clicking the audio button on the Merriam-Webster dictionary’s page for “suffice” has it say suff + ice
It’s My Farm I’ll Pass Out If I Want To
If the NPCs can lock me out of their homes at night no matter how many hearts I have with them, I can deny them access to my property at night too. Get off my lawn!
EDIT: I was backscrolling the posts on this community on my instance and did not notice the comment age. Sorry. Hope anyone else doing the same finds this comment helpful?
The stat in combination with the post just makes me think. Those 60% of younger people might have 37% of older generations agreeing with their views. Or at least being neutral. People are not just their generation, and people of all ages have individual differences and places where they differ from the norm. Somewhere, someone not in your generation agrees with you.
I remember I was sad a lot in my childhood, and why. I still look back on it fondly, likely because now I know how the things that made me sad get better/solved in the future, and because my childhood was free of a problem I currently struggle with now.
And on a much shallower note, the pop music that got played everywhere all the time was music I actively enjoyed.

In your defense, “Segway” is a real brand of some kind of transport thingy, which might be where you picked it up.

This has been my primary summer game, although I admit what with the seasons changing in game I am now in winter while being hot indoors. Was going through responses to see if anyone brought up Stardew.

Look up how social norms in that country differ from your own. It would suck to need the bathroom and to then find out, while in the bathroom stall, that toilet paper is not provided because the norm is that everyone brings their own, and to hope that 1) there’s someone in the stall next to you 2) who understands you and 3) is nice enough and 4) has enough to share with you.

Re: pictures of things that have already been photographed a million times
You want to remember your experience. And although the place you went is certainly part of it, when you are older you will be more likely to want to see you and your SO’s past selves having a good time, than a picture of the sights some photographer has captured much better than you have.
Feel free to disregard this advice if either of you are photographers, whether professional or amateur, as you would probably reap more enjoyment from taking that picture than the rest of us, and are probably way more likely to be the person capturing the place better than the rest of us can. And if it is a unique moment or you really think nobody else has put this sight on the internet already, your choice!
I needed to see it explained this way for it to really click for me. I think the part about the pictures of the sights alone being easily found online was what clinched it for me. I can go “see” that again easily, the scarce part is the part where I am there. A picture of me and a loved one at the sight might be valuable to us two no matter how amateur my photography skills. A picture of the sight probably will not be.
But it’s also relevant that some people already know this and still derive a lot of pleasure from taking a picture of the place themselves, knowing that a lot of other good pictures also exist. If you are one of those people who know that you really like taking pictures of it yourself, feel free to disregard this advice! It’s useful for quite a few people (I think most people?) but not universally applicable. Exceptions almost always exist.

Piggybacking to add that it will make you feel disappointed when you plan for 5 things and don’t get to them all, or don’t end up fully enjoying them because you were rushing from place to place. Plan some things, but give yourself room to want to take a lot of extra time at one place, or to explore stuff nearby.

This is why I feel so so lucky to be a small-breasted woman who does not live somewhere hot 24/7.
If I ever do put on a bra it is because I expect I’ll be running (only situation I have been in where breasts hurt braless, very thankful), or because the silhouette of my nipples is visible through my clothes and I don’t want it to be. A good deal of my wardrobe won’t show nipple even if I go braless, but not all of it is like that and so I put on a bra.

Have not played Outer Wilds, just here because I am curious what other people will say and to add more engagement to the Fediverse
I had a similar experience with Pikuniku. Controls just didn’t click with me at all. I could work them but it was frustrating. I proceeded to drop it and bounce off of gaming for a full on year.

Euro Truck Simulator is good to turn your brain off to.
Except when parking. I’m bad at parking in real life. Naturally I suck at parking a truck in a video game.

I also bought Trombone Champ on the sale! Have not started yet, as I am devoting my attention to a few other games right now and I prefer not to split my game brain toooo many different ways, but excited to as a former band kid who has never played a trombone in real life.
Now that I think of it I feel it was probably the perfect instrument to make this game for. It has Actual Music written for it, as a legit instrument some people devote themselves to and get good at, so there’s definitely enough depth to make a game out of it, but it is also one of the instruments more likely to be funny.
Thank you so much! This was a very helpful comment.
I asked this once on the Talos Principle subreddit and got absolutely wrecked for asking in the first place awhile back, I’ll try again here:
If I like puzzle games but do not enjoy philosophy, would I enjoy the Talos Principle?
Started !citiesskylines@lemmy.ml, still playing Stardew Valley (I went up 100 hours in about a month!), and still slowly progressing on My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom -Pirates of the Disturbance- as I yell about on the !otomegames@kbin.run weekly threads. I have also been trying various !incremental_games@incremental.social, including a billion bananas and Squareixion.
For transparency, just a subscriber on most of those communities, but I do mod !otomegames@kbin.run.
