It’s as if it was only yesterday that I watched him flip nvidia off.

It means desktop environment and window manager respectively. Windows has only one (it being the default) and is not unix, so you should probably post this elsewhere.

It’s still relatively new so it’s gonna take time for it to reach mainstream meme status like Arch or Gentoo.
That truly sucks. Yeah, some professors can be like that. I had a math professor offer bonus points to the first 3 students completed the assignment, only for the majority to cheat and just look up the answer and turn that in. It became a contest of who could copy the fastest and one student even admitted to doing it, but she just didn’t care and gave points to the cheaters anyway.
The lack of Holy C in this meme makes me incredibly disappointed.
Similarly to you, I’m on Artix. Quite similar to arch, customizable, lightweight all that stuff, just without systemd. Don’t really have this deep philosophical resentment for sysd l see a lot of others have, I just had issues with it on older systems and got used to runit. Also, the logo is really slick.
Void on my laptop, very minimal, customizable and extremely stable for a rolling distro. Wanted to mention NixOS as well because although I don’t use the distro itself, the nix pm is amazing and I use it on Void for packages that aren’t in the repos.
I see your point, but context matters. The title is saying: “PCs are a superior kind to consoles (and macs)”. Saying that a certain type of technology is superior to another is absolutely okay, even though the same can’t be said for people. Banning certain phrases in spite of the way they’re used will do more harm than good to us in the long run. Additionally, people who constantly get so worked up about the usage of these phrases and words are the same ones who grant them the enormous power they hold over us.
