Hopefully not the same elementary AI and cameras as the Tesla’s. The missiles would be aiming for barricades on the highway

11·1 year agoThe reference is to the use of white phosphorus to drive enemy combatants out of cover where they can be hit easily with high explosive rounds. Hence the burning skull and two separate types of mortar rounds.
That being said, maybe you’re correct in the guess of why it’s included in this photo…

11·2 years agoUnless I’m not misinterpreting, it was the chief designer who ‘threw’ (lightly lobbed) a metal ball at the window when it shattered.
They did later throw a ‘baseball’ at it that very suspiciously bounced unlike any baseball I’ve ever seen. Surprise surprise the tennis ball painted like a baseball didn’t break it 😅

Technology@lemmy.world•No one’s ready for this: Our basic assumptions about photos capturing reality are about to go up in smoke.English
6·2 years agoGreat point. But tools that make it so a 10 year old can manipulate photos even better than your example in several minutes, are in fact fairly new.
Hell they can generate photos that fool 70% of people on Facebook, though now that I say that, maybe that bar isn’t too high…

22·2 years agoThey really don’t… Hospitals make a ton of money. Travel nurses make a ton of money, but full time workers are usually shafted.

A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•Different social class different rules
2·2 years agoDoes it? It wasn’t an issue for me until I got paid and they accidently selected “payment”. At which point I had no choice, venmo forced me to give my tax information before they would cancel, or return the money that was sent to me.
They will still be reporting that transaction and there is nothing I can do.

So, just making random shit up?
