Yes. At the beginning I preferred distro’s specifically with a graphical software manager. Now i force uninstall it and use terminal for anything.

Wi-Fi calling still gives your carrier your IP address and location so they can route the call, so it’s not totally private.
Getting around that usually means running a pretty stripped-down setup (no SIM, full VPN, etc.), which gets pretty inconvenient.

It’s very hard to convince people to switch to privacy foucused platforms nowadays.
If that’s the case, then i would be more happier to get their usernames atleast. But the situation is way worse than that. They are deeply into whatsapp.
But with a always on VPN they constantly ask to verify our identity, even with passkey or phone number.
Even when I successfully verify my passkey, they will still sent a SMS code to my recovery number. It’s almost impossible to bypass that step and try another method button redirect again to the same phone verification page. If I didn’t give my number, then this message appears, “there is not enough information to prove this is your account. try again later.”
Maybe VPN is a factor that triggering their security system.
