That happened, and they had their own me too and ousted a couple of people. But they are still going strong! They have just moved away from minecraft as their main focus

World News@lemmy.world•JD Vance gloats that allies are 'suffering more than US' from high gas pricesEnglish
151·11 days agoThe question is if that will actually make a difference for the allies. They have shown how unstable they are, and that they are one bad president away from causing chaos for the whole fucking world. I’d hope there will have to be fundamental changes before that sentiment changes.

Technology@lemmy.world•Spotify playing ads for paid subscribersEnglish
21·13 days agoThey do serve ads on podcasts. Not all of them though. It used to be that they were separate, so that you were shown a different “now playing” screen. I first noticed when it happened on otherwise ad free shows, like Lateral. Not sure if that’s the case now? Some of the podcasts I listen to jump in length from the episode list to the “now playing” screen, which is weird. Don’t know if it’s because injected ads or not though, or if they’re even from Spotify. I haven’t seen those ads that are on a new “now playing” screen in a while.

Worth nothing that it’s an e-mail from Epstein to himself, so it’s not conclusive evidence. But it’s probably an indication of something.

2·2 months agoYeah, that seems to one of the few things here that might actually be relevant.

Games@lemmy.world•Why is Valve being sued for almost $900 million, but Epic Games wasn't sued when they bought Rocket League and Fall Guys to remove them from steam?English
5·2 months agoI believe the problem is that it isn’t just Steam keys. There’s apparently emails from Valve employees that state that it’s all versions of the game, and that seems to be the real crux here. And if that’s true it’s pretty shitty, and they might actually lose this.
Pregante!
There’s weird, and then there’s weird. You need to be the right kind of weird.
