10·1 year agoWhy do we find microplastics in humans but not other common substances (e.g. steel, wool, etc.)? I’m not too familiar with why this is happening

That VCR looks too modern for this to be accurate
I’ll definitely let you know. Thank you!

Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Quiblr (Lemmy client) gets an open source update
3·1 year agoThanks for the feedback. I just pushed an update to Quiblr. This should be fixed now for PWA
I appreciate the offer! I have localization features in my pipeline. I’ll let you know

Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Quiblr (Lemmy client) gets an open source update
3·1 year agoOfc! Thanks for your support 💪
Ideally! I’m working to make it scalable to integrate as many fediverse platforms as I can. I’d love to include Piefed
That is the long term vision. This has been just a passion project that I work on the side. But keeping it all react native has made it easier for me to manage 1 app for web, iOS, and Android.
I didn’t want to rush out a native version though. I want it to really utilize native functionality
Recommendations are entirely, 100% on your device. There is no association between your account and the recs. So there is no transfer of data to or from your account. You can log in with your current Lemmy profile and the recs will work all the same!
The benefit of logging in is that you have more ways to interact on lemmy (so your recommendations will be more tailored)

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•How programmers comment their code
7·2 years agoYeah, just 15 seconds and jot down a comment. Whenever I’m even hesitant, I just leave a comment. Doesn’t hurt anything and it can always be removed if not needed
Easier to remove later rather than add it after the fact

Privacy@lemmy.ml•I built the first 100% private, on-device "For You" feed on the fediverse
2·2 years agoI appreciate all the kind words! You are correct that it is a frontend with recommendation engine built in. And the speed likely comes from being a progressive web app.
There are tradeoffs, but it definitely makes thinks “snappier” :)

Privacy@lemmy.ml•I built the first 100% private, on-device "For You" feed on the fediverse
4·2 years agoI pushed an update to Quiblr. I added the instance detail to the Communities page. Additionally, the vertical 3 dot ellipses on each post has an option called Post Detail >> I added the original post url here
Let me know if you have any additional feedback!

Privacy@lemmy.ml•I built the first 100% private, on-device "For You" feed on the fediverse
4·2 years agoThat is an effect of the dynamic sizing (adjusting the style for different screen dimensions) + it may be because the items are in a flatlist. I will add a dynamic image size setting option tonight to allow users to show the full image ratio rather than a standardized image size.
Edit: dynamic image size setting is now live

Thanks for your question! I wanted to bring a more modern UI + add features that I personally wanted while reading scientific papers such as saving bookmarks & creating custom Lists based on specific tags.
