Rewatching The Inner Light hits hard today. 🪈
Wild that we lost both of them two weeks apart.
Kamin has now rejoined with his old friend Batai.

Jamin and Batai at the beginning. Jamin and Batai at the end.
Jamin and Batai when the sun came.
Omg this is how I find out? I just opened Lemmy and this was the first post …
I’m sorry you had to find out this way :(
Yes, I’m sorry but better this than a post somewhere in a Marvel community.
Same, I had no clue. It’s kind of strange that he was the first Trek captain to die.
USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Captain Pike (Jeffrey Hunter) died in 1969.
Oh, forgot about him. He died really young.
He’s boldly gone 😭
If anyone else wants to watch Inner Light tonight in memory of Stewart like we did, it is free (ad supported) streamable on Pluto (Season 5 Ep 25).
I watched it earlier after finding out. Brilliant episode. Great acting. Enjoy!

I remember I was bored with this episode until the very end. But it wasn’t until years later, randomly, the existential weight of the episode completely clocked me. I literally need a moment to myself to process just how poignant that story was.
No other actor-none-has the gravitas to tell that story.Watched this episode as soon as I got home and cried like a baby.
